SalesScreen help.
Help with Demo Mode, Salesforce access, Apple TV Display Mode, and iPhone presentation controls.
How do I get the beta?
SalesScreen is available to invited TestFlight testers. Email support@awesomeoapps.com to ask about availability and Salesforce setup. There is no public TestFlight enrolment link or public AppExchange listing yet.
What do the website screenshots show?
The Sales playlist is an actual Apple TV simulator screenshot with synthetic Salesforce values and no live session. The Service dashboard is a native renderer preview using synthetic aggregates. The sign-in image is a simulator screenshot. None shows customer data.
What must my Salesforce administrator set up?
Live reporting requires the SalesScreen beta package in your org, configured Salesforce OAuth policies, the appropriate SalesScreen Admin or Presenter permission set, and access to the source summary reports. Installing the iPhone or Apple TV app alone does not configure your org. Contact support for the current beta setup process.
Can I use demo mode without Salesforce?
Yes. The demo experience uses bundled sample data and does not require Salesforce sign-in. Live reporting requires an authorized Salesforce account and an organization configured for SalesScreen.
What devices is it designed for?
The companion is for iPhone, with an Apple TV display app in the same product. The Apple TV beta supports tvOS 18.6 and later. Check the current iPhone build’s compatibility in TestFlight. Meeting Mode needs an AirPlay-compatible receiver and a network that allows the devices to communicate.
How does Apple TV sign in?
Choose Production, Sandbox, or My Domain, then use Salesforce’s secure hosted sign-in page. SalesScreen does not ask for or store your Salesforce password.
Do I need to pair an iPhone to Apple TV?
No. Display Mode uses the Apple TV’s own Salesforce session. Companion pairing is deferred and is not required for the current setup.
How do playlists and refresh work?
A playlist rotates through authorized dashboards. Rotation and data refresh are separate settings; the default is five minutes for each, with administrator overrides. Weekly schedules use the display’s timezone and a default playlist fills uncovered periods. Manual navigation pauses rotation for five minutes; explicit Pause waits for Resume. The on-screen Refresh now button requests a fresh read. The Salesforce remote refresh action is not yet confirmed-delivery functionality.
How do I present with AirPlay and the pointer?
Use Screen Mirroring in iPhone Control Center, rather than an audio AirPlay route picker. Open a published SalesScreen dashboard and use the private presenter controls and hold-to-point Presentation Pointer. Check Wi-Fi, receiver compatibility and network restrictions if the display is not found. Physical receiver and lifecycle testing is still being expanded.
What can I edit in the Salesforce builder?
The packaged builder supports the existing single-widget edit flows. Full multi-widget KPI, bar-chart and word-cloud editing is working in development, including layout controls and confirmed saves, but has not yet been released in the managed package. Live line-chart support remains unfinished.
How are service word clouds generated?
Salesforce processes authorized Case Subject and Description text against an approved topic vocabulary. A term needs at least three distinct Cases; processing is bounded to 100 Cases and 24 terms, and partial coverage is disclosed. Raw Case text and Case IDs are not sent to the Apple apps. This is topic matching, not general-purpose AI, sentiment analysis or guaranteed anonymization.
Where does my Salesforce data go?
The Apple apps connect directly to your Salesforce organization. SalesScreen does not run a separate customer-data backend. Authorized aggregate dashboard data can be cached in protected storage on the display; offline use ends at the earlier of the three-hour data limit and the authorization lease expiry. Your administrator controls reports and device access.
